It is January 2nd…that means we are officially out of the holiday season – no more excuses for parties, cookies and drinks. So where do you go from here? Pure Pharma has put together a FREE 4 week challenge that is NOT horribly restrictive and encourages happiness. WHAT? It is called the Good Life Challenge. Happy New Year!  We hope you had a great break and, after being jolly, are ready to get back in some serious training.  We will start the new year with a cycle to get ready for the Open, which starts in the end of February.  Monday will be a build to a 2RM Front Squat, Tuesday will be Handstand work, Wednesday will be a Snatch day with our new Snatch session we’ll be working leading up to the Open.  Thursday will be a CrossFit conditioning  workout only (muahaha) and Friday will be a Back Squat 5RM cycle. We will be adding a 5:30am class on Wednesdays.  That means 5:30am classes 5 days a week. Starting NEXT week will be All Access Classes in the evening – on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you have had this week off and have been traveling – we missed you:) Tomorrow is the last day of our shortened schedule. Classes at 5:30am, 9am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Regular schedule on Saturday and back to the regular routine on Monday. We will have a WOD on noon on New Years Day – “The Seven.” The All Access class will continue on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:20-8:55am. Monthly rates for the All Access Class will be $95 a month. If you are a CrossFit Oakdale member, you have access to those classes as well. Thursday hours are: CrossFit at 5:30am, 9am and 5:30pm.  All Access is this Thursday at 8:20am.  Friday hours are the same – except no All Access. For the workout, start each round where you left off on the last round.  So, if you completed 2 rounds plus 2 Muscle Ups in round 1, begin the next AMRAP with the 3rd Pull (which will be a Chest to Bar if you are RX). For scaling, if Pullups are tough, use as heavy Kettlebell.  Men can try R1 – 70/R2 – 53/R3 – 44.  Ladies can go 53/44/35.  If you can do C2B, regular Pullups, but Muscle Ups are a challenge try Heavy KB in round 1, C2B in round 2, and Pullups on round 3.  Everyone finishes with Burpees.
