The first WOD of the Open, drug which will be referred to as “14.1” all over the world drops on us Thursday at 5pm.  We will do a run through on Thursday at 6:30pm. On Fridays throughout the Open, link each class will do the Open WOD. Please be prepared to judge/count reps for athletes if you are competing.   The big time run through of the WOD will be Saturday at 10am.  Saturday’s at 9am we will run partner/fun WODs, so if you just did the Open WOD on Friday, you can exercise without the pressure of going against Froning and Briggs.  I’m kidding.  Kind of. Next week is the start of the Open. We will be programming the Open WOD for Friday’s WOD so if you thought you weren’t going to participate, find you should just sign up! You will also have a chance to do it on Saturdays at 10am or Open Gym Sundays 1-3pm. Thursdays at 6:30pm will be our preview night – just a few hours after the release. We’ve done today’s WOD,  “Jonesworthy” before.  It’s not a great Open prep – I don’t really think we’ll see KBS or air squat (well maybe air squats), and pull-ups will likely be chest to bar.  But every WOD doesn’t have to be a prep for something else, sometimes it just is what it is.  This one is tough conditioning and a grip smoker. Jonesworthy appeared on CrossFit.com in 2004 – it’s nearly 10 years old!  I’ve attached the comments page – some of the questions are funny, even if we hear the same ones 10 years later.  Like, “didn’t we just do this?” or “pullups again?” Greg Glassman, whose comments handle was Coach, even posted Greg Amundson’s crazy time in the comments section.
