Stockton Police Department and CrossFit 209 Sport are holding a fundraiser workout for slain Officer Jimmy Inn on Saturday, 15 May, 2021 at 10:30am. Normally, we would do our best to either perform the workout or something pretty close. Alas, this workout requires a ton of equipment and rig space that we cannot pull off. We will collect donations at the gym Saturday if you cannot make it up there to support. There is no drop-in fee a CrossFit 209 Sport to participate and all donations will go the family of Officer Jimmy Inn. NO PARKING LOT ACCESS on Friday, May 14th – they will be painting the lines. We are all good to go back on Saturday. Murph t-shirt sales will be until May 20th. $25 plus tax – 25% will go to the Fisher House Foundation. Sign up sheet for t-shirts is by the iPad. Murph WOD will be Monday, May 31st at 9am. That will be the only class that day. This Friday we will have weightlifting with Coach Denny at 6:30pm. Saturday, May 22nd will be the Pair Up Throwdown during the 9 and 10am class. Denny, June and I competed in the CrossFit Games Online Qualifier over the weekend. Denny and I tackled all 5 workouts with maximum effort. We did a ton of warming up, planning, executing and cooling down to get ready for the next day of tough workouts. From my experience, this is the first time I’ve really sunk down into a competition in over 5 years. I think we had a general idea as to how the workouts would go, but we knew that life was gonna get harder as we basically got beat up by the heavy duty workouts. I have always taken pride in my ability to do better on the tougher workouts and the more challenging the circumstances. Both Denny and I finished day 1 with our weakest performances on the rope climb/pistol workout. Denny was in 239 and I was around 550 at the end of day...
