Today I have come upon 3 opportunities to care for others. I wanted to share them with you. On Saturday, 9/12, Jatinder, Pam and Vicky had planned on riding the Tour de Tahoe to raise money for Prabh Aasra, an orphanage in Punjab, India. The founders of Prabh Aasra (Unified Family)  believe that all persons are priceless gifts of God. Some people, young and old alike are unfortunate enough to be parted from their families. They remain stranded on the road sides in extreme weather conditions without food, shelter, and care. These helpless people spend their days and nights in very inhumane conditions. Many of their families are so poor that they lack the recources to reconnect with their loved ones. The 5:30am crew is a special group of people. Every once in awhile they come in when the sun is up and we get to see their awesomeness. I love when Justin shares his runs on instagram – so much that I wanted to find out more. I (Alison) ran more today than I have in FOREVER. As I was explaining to some today, I love the process of running, but my brain gets in the way. At one point during the 2.5 miles today I thought “Ooh I get to be alone with my thoughts, no one else to be concerned of, focus on me.” And that was quickly followed up by” OMG!
