I am not stressed about being 40. I realize this is going to sound like I am, but I am not. I am actually really excited. I don’t feel old, adultish or the like. I might not make millions, but I am pretty proud of the successes I have under my belt. I don’t feel like death is knocking at my door, but there are a few more creaks, pops and strains (INFLAMMATION) than there were 7 years ago. No worries – I will tackle that head on. If inflammation is my enemy I am willing to try any means to tackle it. And I did last week.  Saturday, April 22nd, was the last time I drank coffee. Alison and I have cooked up a very simple nutrition challenge that will start next week.  It will be very simple – but reflect on things you can do without in your daily and weekly nutrition. For example – you love to eat a big bag of Doritos every night.  So, you will try to remove that from your diet.  But, that will be a need t0 be a little less specific – you will remove chips – potato, tortilla, whatever from your diet for a week. There will be some simple fitness challenge get each week to go with the nutrition challenge. For the last few weeks, we have been doing some 2,000 meter rows with extra fun thrown in at the top of the minute. This week, we will try wall ball shots.  First, move your rowers so you are close – transitions will mean a lot here. Second,  recommend 3 options for the amount of wall ball you shoot: 3, 5 or 7 every minute. I think shooting 7 will be fun until minute 7 or so, then it might get a little interesting.
