Looking back AND looking ahead

At the end of every year, order wordpress.com sends us an annual report. While I don’t think I am a giant nerd, purchase I did ask Brian yesterday “Do you remember when we get the annual report? Is it New Year’s Eve?” as if I missed it somehow.
This annual report gives us statistics, price trivia and pictures from the past year. Did you know:

  • The Sydney Opera House houses 2,700 seats. Our Website was viewed 59,000 times this year – the equivalent of selling out the Sydney Opera House with 22 performances.
  • Our busiest day was June 3rd with Brian’s post Thank You Again to all who supported him during Regionals. It was viewed 666 times.
  • People in 116 countries viewed our website – up from 92 countries in 2013

2014 was a very exciting year for CrossFit Oakdale. We have a larger space, a larger pull-up rig, had the largest White Elephant in the history of all of our Christmas parties and saw so many PR’s we couldn’t count. We should count all of them this year.
Chatter is going around about an impending whole30 or some sort of New Year’s Resolution to eat better. Sarah came up with an awesome supporting Facebook page that will help out if you are looking to make a change. Please “Like” Gettin’ Dirty with the Whole30  If you have any questions about diet changes, ask a coach!  Click here to find out what the US Government says are the most common New Year’s Resolutions.
SO Looking ahead – Pushup Challenge will start on Monday January 12th. $15 buy-in, 30 days of pushups. We will do 2 the first day, 4 the second day, 6 the third day…and so on and so forth. Day 30 will give us 60 pushups. After the 30th day, the test will be who can do the most unbroken – Chest to the deck, hand release pushups. Most unbroken wins.
Looking ahead…January 15th is the first day to sign up for the Open. This event is a PR maker waiting to happen. If you don’t know about the OPEN ASK A COACH!
Looking ahead…I am so excited for what 2015 has to offer for all of us. If you don’t have a goal for your next PR – CrossFit related or not – make one. If you need one… ASK A COACH!
Big thanks to all of our Coaching staff who have gone above and beyond this year. Brian and I could not be more proud of them or excited to start another year with their fun loving selves.
