And so it begins.

We are coming up on registration time for the CrossFit Games Open. The last time we had a CrossFit Games Open was in October of 2019, so it’s been a minute. The season has changed, with a three-week period of workouts unlike the 5 of the previous 9 years. So, there are only three weeks for us to get our jam on with some competitive exercising. We are looking for 3 team leaders to promote, motivate and rally their teams during the Open Season – March 11-29th. As a thank you, CrossFit Oakdale will be gifting these team leaders their Open registration fee. Scott has stepped up as a team leader and has some fantastic ideas. We need two more members as team leaders.

Like Open seasons past, there will be opportunities to earn points and prizes for yourself and your team. Each team will pick a theme – ideas will be offered. Costumes, themed social media posts and general excitement will get you on the leaderboard.

Registration is $20 and the ultimate chance to spend hours “leader boarding.” Registration information can be found HERE.

You may be thinking – is it worth it to sign up – I’m not going to the Games. This is our chance to come together as a gym, a community and participate in the largest athletic competition in the world. We will get to “compete” alongside Mat Fraser, Tia Tommey and every other CrossFit All-star, wannabe, has-been, never-was and everything in between. It’s scalable, it’s hard. You may get nervous – you should! You will be challenged – you should!

While you don’t need to pay to play, there is always a little more investment when you…make the investment. Every year we see some wild PR’s come out of the Open season. We will continue to discuss…
