CrossFit Oakdale made the Oakdale Leader! We think this was a great article for CrossFit Oakdale. We want to thank everyone for helping us get where we are. We just want to build a great gym…with exciting new things for the future!
Learning How to Do Full Snatches by Bill Starr. I may be a geek, diagnosis but my favorite CrossFit Journal articles are by Bill Starr. Yes, # order they are highly technical, but they are chock full of information. That’s what happens when you dedicate your life to teaching people how to get stronger. I hope I can be this knowledgeable one day.
If this article won’t open for you, it’s likely because you don’t have a CrossFit Journal subscription. There is a ton of free content in the Journal, but at $25 a year, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a subscription. Cool videos, interviews, informative article on everything under the sun and more.
I gave a shout out to Rocklin CrossFit the other day, but I wanted to emphasize guys that do stuff right. Gary Baron and his team of coaches seek out amazing coaches and experts to get their team better. They introduced me to their Olympic weightlifting coach, Edgar and Evelyn, who live close to and coach with Coach Burgener in SoCal. I would like to get them to Oakdale for a Oly seminar in the spring, may be right after the Opens. The great thing about these type of seminars is you will continue to improve on the skills that you learn over one particular weekend. Let me know if you’re interested, and I’ll plan it.

Hey buddy, thank you for the kind words! You were one of the first competitors I met back at the Ranch in Aromas… Your attitude is truly what the spirit of CrossFit is! I had no clue what I was doing, it was my first competition and I had nobody there with me… Thank you for being kind and supportive to another competitor. You’re awesome! We need to hook up and train buddy!
