I started CrossFit September 2010 because I was in need of a challenge, an activity that would take me out of my comfort zone. I am very comfortable in water and for the six years prior, I had been swimming on a masters swim team. I grew up swimming competitively, coaching swimming, and swam in college. I found CrossFit via a friend who posted on a regular basis how much fun he and his wife were having doing CrossFit. I commented on one of his posts about how great it sounded and he sent me a link to my local CrossFit. I haven’t looked back! CrossFit is providing me and my family endless opportunities to learn, get strong, and challenge ourselves. My family and I CrossFit together and our CrossFit Oakdale community is an extended family for us.
