Meet Steve C

Athlete Spotlight by Christine Clark
When Steve walked into CrossFit Oakdale 3 months ago, erectile he was welcomed
by a motley crew of 9AM enthusiasts. Since then he has grown by leaps and
bounds. Steve has shown great dedication, not missing a single day of
training. He is receptive to coaching and not afraid to ask clarifying
questions…like a whole lot of questions. 🙂
Steve has five children and five grandchildren that he adores. He is a retired
Special Education teacher turned CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). When he is not
volunteering time with foster youth, he enjoys playing the violin at Living
Hope Christian Fellowship.
On a side note Steve may be one of my favorite Masters Athletes, but I’m
biased!! (This is Christine, and Steve is my dad) We are so incredibly proud
of your effort and can-do attitude! Cheers to many more years of health
and wellness! Here’s a bit more about Steve….
How were you introduced to CFO?
A Gift certificate lured me into Cross Fit Oakdale. My daughter and son-in-
law seemed concerned that I had permanently morphed into a dead bug-like position watching TV
When did you realize CrossFit was for you?
When I learned what AMRAP meant.
What is your first impression?
I was totally baffled when Alison spoke in Crossfitaneze to describe the works outs- she cheerfully added the terminology would someday make sense. However I am still waiting…
What do like best about going to CrossFit Oakdale?
Amazing people who form a supportive community sharing a common goal
to improve their lives.
I have always wanted to…..
Learn to Surf … in Hawaii.
One word people use to describe me:
Multi faceted-Amazing-Determined-Awesome, Studley-Good Mannered-Indescribable-Dependable
Outside of the gym I like to….. Work on praise music on my violin.
Three things in my fridge:Grapefruit, Salad, Strawberry Banana Yogurt
The last thing you ate: A yogurt
Something no one knows about me or would be surprised to know:I have perfect stair case toes.
Favorite physical activity outside of CrossFit Oakdale is ….Mow Lawns
Favorite place to eat:Las Margaritas
Proudest accomplishment: Raising 5 amazing, Kids.
If you could invite anybody to dinner: My wife. She usually pays!
Favorite workout attire: My stylist urged me to trade out my gray sweats
(tops and bottoms) uncool…….. board shorts and hip tees, cool.
PS….Steve is the proud owner of a new pair of Nanos or narcos as he liked
to call them at Dicks.
