Tricia and I (Alison) got a chance to attend the City of Oakdale Employee Health and Wellness Fair. We met a ton of great people, thanks to Ro and the Ro’s Rowing Challenge. He told his guys if they beat him, rowing more calories than he did in 60 seconds, he would take them to lunch…at Ferrarrese’s.
Ro started the day off with 29 calories in 60 seconds, only to PR later in the day, improving on his the first row. So now they had to beat 30 calories. An Oakdale Police Office tied Ro with the 30 calorie mark, all geared up, but no one hit the 31 mark. How many calories can you get in 60 seconds?
Oakdale is chock full of different fitness opportunities and healthy options. We are excited that the City of Oakdale is making a conscious effort to keep their employees healthy, fit and well during a time when people are always on the go, and may forget to put their health a priority.
