We said it would be a normal weekend, visit this site but in truth we don’t know what “normal” means.
Saturday night brought CrossFit Oakdale up to CrossFit Sonora for the Barbells for Boobs Fundraiser, medications Helen Meets Grace. Jen and Nick turned in the fastest RX time, here finishing in 10:41. CrossFit Sonora has a great community with people who know how to work hard and have fun. We look forward to seeing more of them in the future.
Nick and Jen will be competing this upcoming weekend in the SICest of the West Competition in Scottsdale, Arizona. This will be a very competitive event. Please wish them luck as they get prepped this week.
On our way home from CrossFit Sonora, we were summoned by the Painting Ninjas. They had staked out the gym as we left to go have lunch on Saturday. In true Ninja style, they had informants and excuses as to why they weren’t spending the afternoon and evening with us. Thanks to Bob, Tricia, Louis, Chance, Christine, Denny, Brandon, Jordyn, Kate, Brody, Dawn and Wayne for having a hand in making our gym a little more “finished.” We are so happy and lucky to have all of you in our lives. Thank you for the effort you bring in class as well as extracurricular activities!
Friday, October 27th, we would like to have a “Ultimate Football” WOD. We will explain more, but think ultimate frisbee with a football. NO contact, just lots of fun and running around. This will take the place of 4:30pm because we will need light on the field. There will be a 5:30pm class.

Receive the barbell in the power position – Hips above parallel. If you squat clean it, you HAVE NOT power cleaned it. Focus on a BIG, STRONG pull.
10 Power Cleans 135#/95#
Goal for the WOD is around 7 minutes. Faster is better, scale weight accordingly.
